Resentment Space verses Love Space

Resentment Space verses Love Space

Have you been in a position where you felt forced to accept an ongoing wrong committed against you by someone else? Have you felt hopeless and helpless in making sure justice prevails in your situation? If so this is where resentment can begin to claw into our lives and other loved ones’ whom do not deserve it. The danger of allowing resentment to have a foothold, is we close the door on our ability to forgive, heal and love. Our attitude has great power over the actions we choose for ourselves and towards others. They can be beneficial or cause injury to our physical, emotional and mental health and the health of our relationships.

Attitudes can come from the unwanted behaviours of others or from our own will of embracing that we are the masters of our heart and mind. It is important to not allow uninvited circumstances to be the deciding factor on our sense of worth. Self-worth begins with self-love. Self-love begins with defining who we are within a love space that is not dominated by hostility and resentment. Love is respect and grace that we embrace for ourselves and others. It is from this mindset we can forgive and be free from being a victim to unwanted experiences. In this headspace we have the room to be wise in our choices of how to move ahead in defining boundaries and promoting justice for ourselves and others.
